Jacob learns to ride a bike
I decided it was time for Jacob to learn to ride a bike so we headed to do just that. A few attempts were made and I finally decided that we would have to just put training wheels on for awhile. So I put them on. Well they wouldn't go on very well and they didn't even touch the ground. I decided to just leave it because I figured they would at least help him balance and not fall over. So off he went on the bike with the training wheels on. I watched him riding it and noticed that he wasn't even relying on the training wheels at all! So I took them off and he got back on the bike and off he went. I got on my bke and we rode around the neighborhood. Nothing like learning how to ride a bike in one day! I wish everything was that easy. Way to go Jacob!
Winter Formal
Jen went to winter formal and I got to host dinner at my house. It was fun though because I got to see all the kids all dressed up and looking good.

Fall Break in Seattle
We had an awesome time in Seattle for Fall Break. We started out on a 49 foot yacht skippered by my brother in law. We spent 3 days on the boat sleeping, eating and stopping to explore the San Juan islands. It was great fun. We spent the rest of the time exploring the Seattle area which included the Space needle, a chocolate factory, watching the Salmon swim up stream to spawn, great food, a chance to spend time with family and beautiful scenery and weather. A great trip for everyone! Thanks to Annette and Jason Rubin.

Jacob hanging out on the boat...at one point he was actually hanging over the edge when he was trying to get in the dingy and missed!
Josh was our resident dingy driver--he shuttled us from the bigger boat to the smaller islands when we would stop to explore.
Jen and mom in Roche--one of our new favorite places
The kids playing on the troll underneath the bridge
Jared at the space needle.
Josh and Jen both got turns driving the boat

A trip to the fish market--we shipped some Salmon and Halibut home--yummy
Beautiful scenery
The top of the space needle--you can see Mt. Hood in the background--it looks like it is floating

Jacob's smile
I thought this was funny. Jacob lost both his top teeth and when he smiled it reminded me of when he was a baby with the same smile.

Jacob doing the Hula
Jacob learned how to hula in Kindergarten today. It was so cute I had to share.
